Our Mission is to be a tool for Christians in providing assistance to people in need. This includes assistance with organization, communication, training and funding functions to support outreach activities.

Who we are:

His Helping Hands is operated under the direction of six men from three different Church of Christ congregations in the greater Kansas City area. The organization is not affiliated directly with any of these congregations. The directors would like to clearly state a few things:
1. The purpose of the organization is not to perform any functions performed by the Church and the funds collected there.
2. Please do not contribute any funds to this organization in lieu of contributions you would normally make to the Church.
3. Our focus will be primarily on outreach activities to people that are not currently members of the Church.
4. We are starting small and will be doing some learning as we grow. Word of mouth will be our initial method of advertising.
5. Any donations made to the work here will be applied 100% to our outreach efforts. All operating costs have been covered.
Note: His Helping Hands has now received approval from the IRS to operate as a 501(c)(3) organization. All donations to His Helping Hands made this year are tax deductable.

Examples of how this organization can be used:

  1. You have a group that has an outreach project you would like to sponsor.  You can contact a board member with the idea.  If it meets the goals and purpose of HHH, then we can assist you in communication, fund raising, and organizing functions.
  2. You would like to help out an individual you know of that is having difficulties.  If it fits within the purpose of the organization, we can help in a couple of ways:
    1. If you have the funds to provide the assistance, you can donate to HHH, and we can provide the assistance directly to them.  You will be able to work individually with the person, or if you prefer, a member of HHH can provide the assistance directly to them.
    2. If you do not have the funds, HHH can see if there are available funds from other sources to provide assistance.
  3. If you have funds availble for outreach efforts, you can contribute those funds to HHH, and the directors will use 100% of the money to provide assistance as needs or projects arise.

NOTE:  All contributions to HHH will  be recorded, but only the 6 controlling members will have access to the records.  That information will only be shared if legally required.  The same is true with those to whom assistance is provided.

Touching Lives & Sharing Love For Over 6 years

Phillipines Outreach

We have an opportunity to again help out the children of the Mindoro village in the Philippines. School tuition and supplies cost about $100/year for each student. That has kept most children from going to school in the past, as this is a very poor village. 51 students have been identified as making good progress and they wish to continue their studies.
The funds collected are put into an account and 100% goes to the children. Any overhead costs are covered by others.

Hillcrest Transitional Housing

HHH is now sponsoring a housing unit in Lees Summit through the Hillcrest Transitional Housing program. That organization provides housing for families without a home so they can get into more permanent housing. It includes training classes on budgeting, cooking and career. The program is at least 3 months for each family.

Personal Support and Outreach

His Helping Hands is a tool for outreach projects of varying types.  We don’t publish specifics about individuals helped or the individuals providing assistance, but only some general descriptions of projects completed or in work.

2.  Assistance to elderly widow with needed home winterization.

3.  Phlilpine Bible Project to provide Bibles in local dialect to Philippine people.

5.  Assistance to family dealing with cancer treatments.

6.  Providing computer equipment to Philippine evangelist for posting lessons and communication.

Mt 25:34-36

“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world.  For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me’.”
